Pitcure Perfect...

Into the rippled reflection of trees

Painted by autumn, yellow

Dusk falls with a reddish glow

Blessing it, with a purple red halo.

Standing hand in hand

With out a word, In awe

Captivated by the serenity

of nature's picturesque show

A flight of birds across

The now purplish sky

Break the bliss of stillness-

Waking us from our reverie

As we look again and smile

Into that picture now dissolved

But captured in our hearts forever

In a photographic memory

My Most Beautiful Thing

As we traveled silently

On a beautiful springy day

Tender leaves and flowers

Along a lonely  path

Imbibing the beauty

Around me , I smile

Silently humming

A melodious song

I look at him and

He was silent too

Drumming his fingers

In sync with his silent song

Suddenly he sings aloud

The song from my heart

I look at him, Exchanging smiles ,

Singing the melody of our hearts

Reveling in the closeness

That made our hearts sing in sync

In the silent harmony of spring

A most beautiful thing

Just read this  http://questforheaven.blogspot.com/2011/02/rain-on.html by Usha Ma'm on her blog and I'm all back to my favourite muse , the rain.Unfortunately , we have still weeks left before the snow melts and the rain falls.Having experienced it last year , felt like writing about the season here that is sooo different from the rain in kerala. Also put some sleeping beauty into it. Here it is

Waiting...

Pricked by the icy thimble
Life lay sleeping beneath the snow
Bound to slumber by a season's curse
Frozen cold as in death she lay

Winter fairy with hands nimble
Draped all in a white ensemble
A palace of snow and ice prevailed
Protecting her from eyes that pried.

Storms raged above and battles were fought
But the curse did not break and she slept on.
Waiting for her prince and waiting for her kiss
A kiss that would warm and make her alive

Then one day , as it was destined to be,
Some one came from far above ,
The frozen fortress melted away
As his warm hands made their way.

She stirred at his touch, a smile
Upon her cold dry lips she lay,
As drops of rain came pouring down..
Kissing her to life once again

Journey

As I tread a hard and weary way

Through the universe empty and dark

I realize yet again

That only you can ignite that spark

That you were the light of my life

That, in my heart you made and indelible mark.

A night years ago

When I saw your face from far,

I gave you my heart

And cared not that you were a star.

Your shining serene face glowed

And in a twinkle I knew your answer.

Your presence made my face shine

Maybe it was the light of love dear!

I wanted to rush into your arms

And be yours once and forever.

I decked myself with a glittering viel

And shyly gushed in a bridal glow.

What did we lack?

Oh! What did we lack that

I had to go back?

Why couldn’t we stay together?

Why did it have to end?

Fate and time conspired

To keep us far apart.

And I knew the happy time,

The wonderful, blissful time

Alas, was not meant to be.

My happy shining face clouded

With tears and agony

But I knew it was of no avail

I had to continue my journey.

Somewhere along the way,

I threw my glittering veil away

For it was a remembrance

Of fortune’s cruel play.

And here I am an ill fated comet

Alone in the dark empty universe

Fated to leave my loved one

The bright, shining, immovable sun.
